I need your help

With my childhood memoir complete, I am starting on another book. This is going to be a mystery, actually I am thinking of writing a 2 book series. The second book will be a who-done- it, since I am having my protagonist murdered during the first book.

Here is where I need your help.
I've already begun writing the first book, but now I'm beginning to re-think it.

Do you enjoy murder stories in which the murder is at the beginning of the story or the end?
